paralyzed

the lightnings woke me up at 6am this morning. i had wanted to come in to work early so that i can leave early but the rain seemed pretty heavy and not wanting to get drenched, i left the house after 7 when it stopped. waited for half hr for the train to come, only for it to stop at queensboro for the last stop. ok, so its not going into manhattan. 7 train was, so i took it to grand central wanting to change to 4,5 downtown. atlas, those trains were not running. so i took 7 again to times sq to transfer to the yellow trains down. took the q, got off at prince st becos q was making express stops after canal st. the next q train finally made local stop at city hall.

this was the eventful wed morning. i got in at 923am- >2hrs to get to work. only 3 people were in the office. the sun was shining brightly when i got out of the station. the ground was dry too, no sign of flooding to indicate the heavy downfall only hours ago.

this is the perfect timing to have an attack on this city. the whole subway system was paralyzed due to severe flooding in the stations and of course, on the tracks. you would still think that it was raining heavily outside, judging by the rain that was pouring in. BUT IT WAS NOT!
